I've always wanted to tour with my own band, and in November 2001 I brought together Miranda Sykes, Keith Angel and Roger Wilson to form the Bill Jones Band. We played eleven gigs across the UK, taking Oliver Knight with us as sound guy. My dad recorded a couple of the gigs straight off the p.a. onto his minidisc player, and one came out so well that we decided to share it with you. It was recorded, appropriately, at The Live Theatre in Newcastle on 2nd December 2001. - Bill Jones
